Bike Around the Buttes is celebrating 30 years! Come join us and ride around the smallest mountain range in the world. The three courses to choose from are the Century, Classic, & Fun rides. Registration includes a finishline meal of barbecued chicken, polish dog, (vegetarian choice) vegetarian spiced beans, roll, potatoe salad, green salad, cookie and drinks provided. Massage therapy for a donation, live music by Deja Vu while relaxing in our shady park. SAG support, course marshalls, fully stocked rest stops and beautiful scenery along the way! Outback Steakhouse is proud to partner with the Friedreichs Ataxia Research Alliance(FARA) for a day of physical achievement and family fun. Ride Ataxia will offer 5, 19, 40 and 60 mile routes on scenic country roads. Ride Ataxia benefits FARA- a nonprofit organization dedicated to research leading to a cure for Friedreich's ataxia (FA). Registration is limited to the first 600 participants. Online registration closes Thursday, May 28 at Noon (Pacific). Same day registration is permitted only if space is available. This is a rain or shine event. Refunds will not be granted. ROUTES: Click on the route length to view the map and elevation profile. All routes must be started at their designated times and completed by 2pm. Ride Ataxia reserves the right to SAG in any riders still on the course at 2pm. 5 mile route (Repeatable 1 mile loop): Beginner. Flat, mostly trail. 19 mile route: Beginner. Flat, minimal traffic. Rest stop at 9.5mi. 40 mile route: Intermediate. Flat, minimal traffic. Rest stops at 9.5mi, and 24.5mi. 60 mile route: Experienced cyclists only. Significant climbing, minimal traffic.
